Stacy and Dave

Stacy and Dave — The Timid Dream Team Looking for Their Forever Quiet Zone.

Meet Stacy and Dave, a beautiful bonded pair who have perfected the art of gentle lurking. Stacy is a stunning tabby girl with big “I’m watching you, but politely” eyes, and Dave is a black‑and‑white gentleman whose white‑tipped tail and permanent black “cap” give him the look of someone who’s mildly unimpressed by most things. (He’s not grumpy — he just has resting judgement face.)

These two are inseparable, shy, and have been with us longer than any other residents. They’ve watched countless cats swan in and out of their communal cabin like it’s a revolving door, and frankly, they’re over it. Dave in particular has opinions about strong, confident males joining the cabin, and none of those opinions are positive.

With so many new cats and so many different volunteers popping in each week, Stacy and Dave have understandably retreated into their shells. They need a home where life is quieter, calmer, and far more predictable.

What They’re Looking For

These two sweet souls need a safe, adult‑only home with one or two patient humans they can slowly learn to trust. They’re not ready for strokes or cuddles yet — they currently approach us mainly to supervise feeding and ensure we’re following correct portion‑control protocol. They take their managerial duties very seriously.

They’ll need:

  • A spacious indoor home where they can feel safe
  • Plenty of hidey holes, cat trees, and cosy corners
  • Toys and enrichment to keep their minds busy
  • Humans who are happy to serve food, treats, and entertainment
  • Patience — lots of it — and zero expectations about affection arriving quickly

Stacy and Dave aren’t the type to rush into love. They’re the slow‑burn romance of the cat world. But when a shy cat finally chooses you? That moment is pure magic.

Why They’re Worth It

Underneath the timidity, these two have enormous potential. With the right environment, they’ll blossom into affectionate companions — in their own time, on their own terms. Watching them grow braver, step by step, is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have.

If you’re ready to open your heart (and your home) to Stacy and Dave, they’re ready to begin their quiet, gentle journey with you.
