They’re already showing lovely signs of interaction and curiosity, and with patience, gentle handling, and an experienced ratty owner, they’re sure to blossom into affectionate, confident companions.

They’re clever, entertaining, and full of that classic rat charm — the kind that makes you laugh daily. Whether they’re rearranging their bedding like tiny interior designers or standing on their hind legs like meerkats demanding treats, Salmon & Sushi promise endless joy.

🏡 What Thelma & Louise Need

We’re looking for an experienced or knowledgeable rat owner who understands that good things take time — and snacks.

🐭 Housing (Current Care Standards)

• A large, well-ventilated cage is essential. For two rats, a minimum of 100cm (L) x 50cm (D) x 80cm (H) is recommended, with multiple levels for climbing.

• Solid floors (no wire mesh) to protect delicate little feet.

• Plenty of hammocks, tunnels, ropes, and hideouts — rats love vertical space and cozy sleeping spots.

• Daily supervised free-roam time in a safe, rat-proofed area.

🥗 Diet

• A high-quality complete rat pellet or nugget as their staple diet.

• Daily fresh vegetables (like leafy greens, broccoli, peas, carrot).

• Occasional fruit and healthy treats in moderation.

• Constant access to fresh water.

• The odd tasty training treat will definitely help win their hearts. (They accept bribes. Generously.)
