Meet Mickey – The Big Softie Who Tried (and Failed) to Be a Tough Guy

When Mickey first arrived, he put on his best “I’m a hardened street cat, don’t mess with me” routine. Lots of dramatic huffing, puffing, and Oscar‑worthy tough‑guy energy.
Plot twist: he was absolutely bluffing. Underneath all that was a gentle, sweet lad who clearly once had a home and just got a bit lost along the way.

Once settled, Mickey revealed his true personality:

• A giant cuddle‑marshmallow
• A food enthusiast with zero self‑control around treats
• A quiet-life connoisseur
• A cat tree king who loves surveying his kingdom from the highest perch
• And—this is new—an emerging toy explorer who has only just started discovering that toys are fun (he’s basically a big kid learning what playtime is)

Mickey lived in our communal cat cabin for a while, and while he tolerated the other cats (in the same way you tolerate someone rustling a crisp packet during a film), he never enjoyed their company. The moment he moved into his own private suite, he blossomed. Suddenly we had a relaxed, purring, affectionate boy who finally felt safe enough to be himself.

So yes, Mickey would like to be your one and only. No other cats, no chaos, no drama. Just a calm, adult-only home where he can stretch out, snooze in peace, climb his beloved cat tree, and continue his adorable journey of discovering toys.

He’s a gorgeous big black cat with a shiny coat, stunning green eyes, and the vibe of a retired heavyweight boxer who now just wants to nap, snack, and enjoy the quiet life.

Mickey is so much happier in his single suite—imagine how happy he’ll be in a real home.
