Lara

Presenting Lara: the grand dame of cattitude, queen of side‑eye, and undisputed ruler of “absolutely not.”

At seven years old, Lara has perfected the art of balance: young enough to fling herself dramatically into a pile of catnip toys, but mature enough to be deeply offended when younger cats dare to enjoy themselves within her line of sight. She is a striking black‑and‑white beauty, the kind of cat who looks like she should come with her own chaise longue and a fainting couch for dramatic effect.

Lara does like people—she’ll happily accept strokes when the mood strikes—but the shelter is simply beneath her standards. Too loud. Too busy. Too many peasants. So if she occasionally shows her “don’t test me” side, just know she’s operating under protest.

Her love, however, is exclusive.
Other cats? No.
Dogs? Absolutely not.
Rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, imaginary woodland sprites? Hard pass.

Lara wants humans and only humans. In fact, she can tell if you’ve been fraternising with other cats and will deliver a swift disciplinary tap to remind you of your place. Loyalty is a two‑way street, after all. She will need a human that is experienced and content with a temperamental cat and will appreciate her for the charater she is.

What Lara truly desires is a peaceful kingdom where she can reign as the one and only. She previously lived with a single person and adored the serenity, so the shelter’s chaos is… let’s say “not her aesthetic.” We’re confident her swipes will fade once she’s back in a home with no other animals—though she absolutely reserves the right to throw a strop whenever she feels the universe has wronged her. She may also need to train you. Don’t worry, she’s very efficient.

Give Lara a quiet home, a soft throne (also known as a bed), a safe indoor space where she has plenty of room to do her own thing and never has to see another animal, and she’ll repay you with loyal companionship, gentle affection, and a personality so entertaining you’ll never need television again.
